Shiro Kamo : Master Shiro Kamo is probably one of the most famous blacksmiths in Japan. His knives are still made using traditional methods in the famous Takefu Knife Village, Echizen, Japan.
The special feature of Kamo-san's knives is the particularly high-quality steel used and the thinly ground blade geometry.
At the age of 45, Shiro Kamo was awarded the title of “Master of Traditional Crafts” – the highest award for a Japanese blacksmith.
